
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Columbia College (Missouri) and a Master’s degree in Psychology from LeTourneau University (Texas), I am currently a doctoral student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Wesleyan University. My training includes advanced coursework in Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bowen Family Systems Theory, Solution-Focused Play Therapy, and certification in the Virginia Satir Model – Experiential Therapy, completed under leading experts in the field.
My clinical experience includes internships at North City Counseling, The Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders, and Texas Wesleyan University’s Community Counseling Center, where I worked with individuals and families managing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
Professionally, I have served as a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Emergence Health Network MHMR, specializing in bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. I also worked as a Conservatorship Worker and Supervisor at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, supporting families affected by abuse, neglect, mental health, and substance use concerns.
Additionally, I have volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Guardian ad Litem (GAL), advocating for children in foster care and promoting family stability and safety.
